General Information

Florida Hospital has received approval from the American College of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to offer a 4-year Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program.  We anticipate beginning our residency program with 4 PGY-2 positions in July 2012, and will reach full complement by 2016.

Florida Hospital is one of the largest healthcare systems in the country, performing over 1 million imaging studies per year and offering a wide breadth of pathologies.  Because of our large case volumes, high faculty-to-resident ratio, subspecialty training and advanced technology, Florida Hospital has the ability to offer an exceptional radiology educational experience.  Radiology residents will be trained with 3T MRI, PET-CT, digital mammography and bi-plane angiography equipment. Florida Hospital’s Radiology Residency will encompass the 6 ACGME competencies – patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, professionalism and systems-based practice.

Florida Hospital Radiology Residency offers complimentary food for its residents, educational funding for scientific presentations at national meetings, research opportunities, and team-building opportunities at Orlando Magic games.
