Residency 2017

Our 4-year Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), and has Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) accreditation. Our residents have been very successful, with 100% first time Boards pass rate, excellent ACR in-service scores (94 percentile overall and 99 physics percentile for our 3rd year class, and 94 percentile overall and 95 physics percentile for the 2nd year class) and impressive fellowship matches. Our residents have also presented their scientific work at multiple national meetings and are on national resident boards.

Florida Hospital is ranked one of the "Top 100 Hospitals" by US. News and World Report. Florida Hospital is one of the largest healthcare systems in the country, performing over 2 million imaging studies per year and offering a wide breadth of pathologies.  Because of our large case volumes, high faculty-to-resident ratio, subspecialty training and advanced technology, Florida Hospital has the ability to offer an exceptional radiology educational experience.  Radiology residents will be trained with 3T MRI, PET-CT, digital mammography and bi-plane angiography equipment. Florida Hospital’s Radiology Residency will encompass the 6 ACGME competencies – patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism and systems-based practice.

Florida Hospital Radiology Residency offers complimentary food for its residents, educational funding for scientific presentations at national meetings, research opportunities, American Institute for Radiologic Pathology stipends and team-building opportunities at Orlando Magic games.
